Sunflower trivet for a vase or orchid pot - Robyn Bowman. (Note that vase or pot is not included).
210mm x 160mm, made by hand using a scroll saw. The timber is 12mm thick mango, finished with Whittle Waxes Object Oil. The maker is Robyn Bowman from Gympie and District Woodworkers Club. Robyn has been using a scroll saw to make useful and pretty small items for eight years, many for sale to contribute to club fund-raising. She uses reclaimed timber from unwanted trees donated to the club. Scroll sawing is one of the skills practised at the club workshop; other skills are joinery, wood turning, carving and pyrography.
